Revised Past is a contemporary reading of a traditional Venetian stained glass window, which has collected traces of partially destroyed stained glass windows seen in the streets and canals of Venice. The composition consists of roundels (round glass), a main component in the Venetian tradition of making stained glass, and empty spaces filled with sand-blasted glass, commonly used in the restoration of destroyed parts of stained glass compositions. The embossed roundels in Revised Past are related to an ornament from the preserved, authentic interior of the building - a reflection of its past. The empty spaces tear the integrity of the ornament and make it impossible to be read.
